Bitcoin stuck under $40K, but BTC price hits another all-time high vs. Russian ruble

Image
There are few winners among Bitcoin hodlers this week, as stocks get squashed while commodities run wild. Bitcoin ( BTC ) recovered from one-week lows on March 8 after a lack of progress in Russia-Ukraine talks sent markets tumbling. BTC/USD 1-hour candle chart (Bitstamp). Source: TradingView Commodities "trading like meme stocks" Data from Cointelegraph Markets Pro and TradingView showed BTC/USD bouncing at $37,170 on Bitstamp after Monday’s Wall Street open. Overnight progress maintained support, with the pair trading at around $38,500 at the time of writing. Crypto and stocks had reacted badly to the third round of negotiations to end hostilities between Russia and Ukraine ending in a lack of consensus. “There are small positive subductions in improving the logistics of humanitarian corridors... Intensive consultations have continued on the basic political block of the regulations, along with a ceasefire and security guarantees,” negotiator Mykhailo Podolyak no...

Isn't it easier to track Bitcoin's transactions than cash !

I peer a lot of claims that Bitcoin is an easy tool for money laundering because the addresses are not named after their owners. However, isn't it the same case with cash? And since Bitcoin is pseudo-anonymous, isn't it easier to track real blockchain records than rumors of a ‏‏‎ cash laundering operation somewhere? I hate when Bitcoin is portrayed like this. submitted by /u/Doomsday4182 [link] [comments] from Bitcoin - The Currency of the Internet https://ift.tt/zvGY0I1 from Earning Money & Investing Online with BitcGuide https://ift.tt/9AUSnZt via BitcGuide

Rate hikes, CPI and war in Europe — 5 things to watch in Bitcoin this week

Image
A grim cocktail of macro triggers converges on Bitcoin, with risk assets looking at a “rough” few days coming up, analysts warn. Bitcoin ( BTC ) starts a new week in the shadow of a deepening geopolitical nightmare unfolding in Ukraine. As retaliation for the Ukraine invasion and the macroeconomic consequences grow, crypto by and large is struggling to keep up. A curious paradox has presented itself this month. Despite investors and those directly impacted by the war assumedly looking for a safe haven, that has broadly not been Bitcoin or even stablecoins. Instead, stocks, which have taken a hit thanks to sanctions and their consequences, now form a major guide for how BTC/USD performs. As such, the trend for Bitcoin remains down, all within the same familiar macro range which has characterized all of 2022. What could switch things up? Cointelegraph takes a look at a handful of factors worth keeping an eye on as the unprecedented European conflict plays out. Macro forces signal...

What sort of job could I get related to crypto (exchange?) with just my basic crypto knowledge, and no tech background?

Is it possible to get a job in the world of crypto mostly with just your love for the ecosystem? Perhaps customer service? I have degrees in music and psychology but nothing related to tech. What might an entree level crypto job entail and what might the pay be? Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/knowledgelover94 [link] [comments] from Bitcoin - The Currency of the Internet https://ift.tt/ZnNi14m from Earning Money & Investing Online with BitcGuide https://ift.tt/vpb2GxY via BitcGuide

TIL Monopoly money is worth over 20 times more than the Russian Ruble. Amazon is selling 70 Monopoly bills for $12.30 USD (17.5 cents per bill). The ruble is less than a cent (135 RUB/1 USD).

Just setup my first BTC Node, here are my experiences

With all that's been happening with the CBs, Russia, and inflation, I wanted to setup a node to strengthen the network security. I'm not entirely done yet, but am now running a synced btc core and the sync took ~36 hours. I don't know the exact time it was done because I was asleep. I used the guide on Raspibolt . Overall the guide is really good. I learned a lot of side things in the process like putty commands, keys, and about tor. There are some areas where I ran into technical issues when configurating my node, when my circumstances must have been different and I had to back track and re-do some steps. But it was fun. The first half I wrote all commands by hand, the second hand (when we got to longer strings including my keys etc) I started copy pasting. Felt I learned less when copy pasting. Anyway, the first part (up until syncing started) took me about 2 hours (including connecting the rasp pi, imaging the os etc) Really happy to be doing this now. Gear: Raspber...

Why is bitcoin taxed?

Why does us common people who have capital gains on Bitcoin need to pay govt tax? Bitcoin wasnt created or managed by govt right? Isnt govt satisfied with billions and billions of tax they get from other stuffs, why doesnt anyone talk about this. Im just curious, its crazy how so many countries started taxing crypto but wont recognize its potential submitted by /u/vgrp1 [link] [comments] from Bitcoin - The Currency of the Internet https://ift.tt/T8xSop2 from Earning Money & Investing Online with BitcGuide https://ift.tt/QjXzwrt via BitcGuide

The experience of the inexperienced

I want to share a story of mine: In the early times of bitcoin I mined parallel to my gaming a few coins out of fun but didn’t store them properly. Later I was very sad about like many people who experienced the same. In 2019 I restarted trading and bought some coins. Only on a small budget that was kind of play money. I sold and bought frequently and was happy about a few gains around 0,5-5%. Recently I visualised my transactions in a portfolio tool and that was my second wtf moment. I noticed that I was blinded by the quick gains. If I had hold the bought coins instead of selling, I could much more value. Example: invested 100€ could be around 2000€. So my suggestion for everyone: - Keep the coins even if they drop - Invest for a long term goal - DON’T PLAY WITH MONEY submitted by /u/viseradius [link] [comments] from Bitcoin - The Currency of the Internet https://ift.tt/JH8ZI9U from Earning Money & Investing Online with BitcGuide https://ift.tt/Cu6yEab via BitcGuide...

BTC price now has support above $40K as data shows Bitcoin 'redistribution event'

Image
Strong hands have now bought up practically all the supply from those who bought BTC at November's all-time highs and since capitulated. Bitcoin ( BTC ) is "looking pretty good" as the week progresses as bulls line up challenges for several significant resistance levels. In an update to Telegram subscribers on Mar. 2, Filbfilb, an analyst at trading suite Decentrader, joined increasingly bullish sentiment around the outlook for BTC/USD. Trader focuses on levels above $40,000 After surprising the market with a breakout Monday, Bitcoin has risen to challenge February highs. While so far not beating them, investors and traders have reacted extremely positive to the news, and sentiment gauges show a swift transformation taking place on the market. For Filbfilb, the prognosis is just as rosy after BTC/USD passed both the 50-day moving average (MA) and a "massive" weekly level, both of which could now function as support. "Bitcoin looking pretty good mid w...
